Just finished with the little ones for the day, and boy am i in need of my break. They certainly were testing my patience today. Sometimes I just wanna hold them up and close their mouths for them. That's when I take a step back and breath in......breath out.......

Had a little reality check the other day. I decided to head on down to the downtown market this past Sat., in search of phone cards. As I had been buying them previously only in Seoul, I thought it was about time I scouted them out closer to home. I left the apartment and walked for a while, deciding that I wasn't quite ready to catch a bus yet. It's about a 15 min. bus ride to downtown, but it was warm, so I thought I'd walk for a bit. I soon came to one of the main highways and wondered along, looking around. After tiring a bit, I caught one of the many buses head in my direction. After getting downtown, I stepped off the bus and headed towards the black market. This area is rather humorous, in that you can find everything from imported alcohol, to deodorant, to MREs from the army. It's a veritable plethera of import items, changing depending on the day. This is also, where I had been told I could find international phone cards. I wondered in and out of all areas of the market for what seemed like an eternity. I saw everything from the black market, to clothing shops to veggies, fruits, and meats gallore.

Finally I came upon a hair salon that looked pretty decent. Feeling bored/tired of looking for calling cards, I wondered in. What ensued was really rather funny. They spoke no English. I speak no Korean. Hmmmm....what to do in this situation, you ask? You wildly gesture as if on something and hope someone understands something. They appeared to understand, so with that they let the scissors fly and we were off. I ended up not getting too bad of a haircut. A little short, but respectable.
Oh and i did end up getting phone cards.....crappy ones, but they work, none the less. I may have to keep looking though.
